Jazz Study Grant

DESCRIPTION
$2,000 will be awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student studying jazz performance or composition. The funds must be used to fund a project or studies related to jazz performance or composition.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:
  1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
  2. Two current letters of recommendation
  3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
  4. Composers: Provide a score and a high-quality recording of a recent jazz composition. Submission via links to YouTube preferred (or other comparable sites, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
  5. Performers:
    1. A high-quality recording of a recent jazz performance.Submission via links to YouTube preferred (or other comparable sites, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
    2. List of the recorded repertoire with the following information:
      1. Exact titles, opus numbers
      2. Composers' names
      3. Timings
    3. Recent reviews and/or programs
  6. A description of the purpose for which this grant will be used
  7. A detailed budget
  8. $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
